Editorial Standards & AI Policy
Who writes here
Pretoria Fields Radio is a community station and newsroom at the Pretoria Fields farmhouse taproom in Albany, Georgia. Tripp Morgan is the editor and is accountable for everything published here.
We use artificial intelligence, and we say so on every piece:
- The Godfather’s Column is Tripp Morgan’s own opinion column. He dictates it; AI transcribes and copy-edits it. The words and opinions are his.
- The RFA Sports Desk and the news desk are our AI newsroom, called Jarvis. It writes analysis and news briefs from public data and published reports, under Tripp’s editorship.
- Dr. Johnny Fever and the station’s other on-air hosts are AI characters, not real people. Tribute voices are never presented as the real person.
Every article shows its byline and an AI disclosure at the top.
Our standards
- Accuracy. Scores, statistics and quotes come from sources we can point to. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out.
- Opinion is labelled. Columns are marked as opinion and kept apart from the news desk.
- Advertising is labelled. Spots for Pretoria Fields, our home brewery, are advertising and are marked that way.
- Images. We publish our own artwork and photos, or images we are licensed to use, and we credit them. We do not use wire photos.
- Privacy. We do not name or picture private people without their consent. We never publish anything about anyone’s medical care.
- No tricks. No invented scoops, no fake urgency, no bought followers.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it in the article and add a dated correction note at the end. We do not quietly change the record. To report an error, write info@pretoriafieldsradio.com.
