Georgia hung 70 on Western Kentucky in all-white, and Gunner Stockton shared the touchdowns like a man raised right.

Georgia beat Western Kentucky 70 to 20 on Saturday, and did it wearing all-white uniforms for the first time in the history of the program, which seems fitting, because the whole thing looked like a christening. The Bulldogs led 49 to nothing at halftime — the Associated Press reported that matched the most productive half in school history — and Gunner Stockton completed 13 of his 16 throws for 234 yards and five touchdown passes, tying the school record. He did all that and presumably still made it home for supper.
Here is the part I like. Those five touchdown passes went to five different fellows. Not one receiver got to be a star; five of them got to call their mamas. Stockton now has eight touchdown passes and not a single interception through two games, which is the quarterbacking equivalent of going to church twice and not once falling asleep. That is not a hot hand. That is a philosophy.
The ledger says Georgia ran 54 snaps, 29 of them runs and 25 passes, a 53.7 percent run rate — and the desk will confess those counts come off the ticker, not the film. Still, the Moneyball sheet says this offense is producing 0.71 points of value per play against 0.42 in the lean year of 2023. The fine print calls that descriptive, not predictive. Some win litigiously.

Georgia heads to Arkansas next for the SEC opener, and the folks who most needed to see Saturday saw it in person — Jayden Wade, the five-star quarterback commit rated the number one passer in the 2028 class, took in the White Out along with Landon Ghea, the top-ranked 2029 tackle out of Milton. Seventy points, five touchdown passes, five different smiles. Recruiting pitches have been built on considerably less.
